The following show some of the ways the foundation has been able to help medically fragile children in our area. For more information, please contact one of the board members.

2008

In 2008, we were able to supply two children’s wheelchairs; a child’s walker; toys for the Pediatric Physical Therapy Clinic at Hendrick Rehabilitation Center in Abilene, Texas; $5,761.00 for the Children’s Miracle Network; medical supplies for Kinder Hearts Home Health to be used to assist children who are coming home from the hospital and either have no insurance or are in transition awaiting Medicaid assistance; and two manual wheelchairs and one electric wheelchair for the Salvation Army.

2009

In 2009, we donated several colorful educational toys to the Hendrick Children’s Rehabilitation Center for the in-home rehabilitation service; a van chair-lift for a wheelchair-bound Abilene boy; support for an Abilene family for out-of-town medical needs; braille textbooks; a recorder for a student who is physically unable to hold books; a year’s supply of medicine for a child with brain tumors; and funds to assist a family needing to go out-of-state for their child’s surgery.
